I went to Berlin on the 31st October til 4th November with the classmates and other School of Arts students. I had a blast and to share, I've made a short montage about my adventure in Berlin. Enjoy :)
PS: There are pictures of Berlin that I posted on my Facebook, just click on the link below to see them ;)
I'm currently doing my first semester degree in Event Management at UiTM. The whole purpose of doing this degree is to get familiarized with the industry. I want a head start so that I will know what to and not to expect when I studied this course. I already learned a few things and I know I should expect a lot more as I got along, but being in the industry alone has affected me entirely, as I got to know more people and I'm not afraid to stand up for what I do best.
In this first semester of my degree, I voluntarily offer myself to design a department logo for my batch because of my love of doing graphic design as well. I've showed several designs to my fellow classmates and we agreed on one logo.
And, early this semester, we had an event of seniors welcoming us to the department called Junior's Night and we are required to submit a montage of our class member introduction and I voluntarily offered myself to be the creative director for the montage. I cannot do the montage if it isn't for everybody's cooperation to turn up on the photo shoot day, I'm grateful that we connected to each other, and it made everything so much easier.
FYI, all my friends called me Mia here because there are quite a number of 'Amirah' in my class. What I do is basically was came up with the ideas, take photograph of my classmates and direct the video accordingly into what I had visualized them. It's a very brief and humble but sort of catchy montage, and I'm just glad everyone loves it and enjoyed themselves in the making of the montage.
I've always love doing events and I starts at home. My youngest sister was sixteen on the February 10th 2011 and she never had any birthdays with her friends before ( she only celebrated within us family ), so my second sister and I thought of throwing her a birthday bash. It was so much fun and busy the whole week before. We designed the decor, bought flowers at the market, ordered helium balloons, making invitations card for her friends, choosing a menu for the bash and all the accessories for the decor. With all the craziness, me managed to put together a birthday bash that my sister loved and all we know was she had a really great time.
I captured all the memories in videos and made a montage out of it. What can I say, montage is for me like a time capsule because it captured all the beautiful memories in the present times, and I'm all about that stuff.
My final year Furniture Design project that is designed in sync with the Retail Centre that I'm doing for my final project. It is a real life project that required a life size furniture to be submitted on the final presentations.
Since I've been in the design department, I've always been fascinated with Graphic Design. I've been exploring and learning about Graphic Design myself and applied the knowledge to my projects. These are some of the projects I did along the way, which is Corporate Identities, Graphic Design, Poster & Flyer Design.
A group project presentation board that I designed for my Furniture Design subject.
